Why didn’t I think of this? A little realtime autotune would go a long way toward making Nico’s recent adventures in parent-manipulation (i.e., whining, screaming, crying) a LOT easier to listen to —

According to one of the people in the comments thread there’s a full length track like this by someone from “the middle east or africa”, which sounds fascinating if anyone could find it.
I think this is full length — and from Africa.
was featured briefly on rupture’s wfmu show a few weeks back – http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/30572 champion dj – baako apparently.
also heard flylo play it in glasgow, mad sound..
nice one! there goes jace w/ the scoop again. why can’t i just be everywhere at once?
So does anyone have the full 12-minute MP3?
Timeblind points to a full track — but not a 12 minute version — in this tweet (obviously, Johan, you need to cave in and join Twitter, if only for the crowdsourcing).
So, yes, it’s a slow kuduro track — African indeed.
Also, not that I should feel too ashamed on this count, but being late to something (I also just saw/heard this track being played at a Major Lazer show via SFJ) is, like, basic internet epistem-ontology.
Diplo likes it too.

Yes, Lucien, thanks for that. That’s what I was referring to in the comment above (Major Lazer).
And since posting this I’ve seen MLK’s “I Have a Dream” autotuned, Winston Churchill, “the news,” etc. Quite a trend, I guess. But that slow kuduro baby wail is still on another lev.
I’ll join twitter when you join facebook. ;-)
Oh, I should join really. Is there a way to filter results reasonably? I’m scared it will be too much like Facebook’s mindless status updates.
Filter results? Lots of ways. The best: only follow as many people as seems reasonable/interesting. And only read the current page (plus @replies).
It’s all about managing yr e-cology.
I heard a “full-length” version of something like this in Guinea in 2007, babies over beatz – it played over and over in every vehicle I got into. In fact, the baby was auto-tune crying on one track, and auto-tune giggling the second track! My African colleagues just said “so CUTE!” every time it came on…
i totally heard something like that in senegal, and that reminds me of http://lmncha.blogspot.com/2008/09/bumpin-baby.html im almost positive theres a middle east version as well
