Dance and Taxes

Looking forward to heading down to Providence tomorrow evening for this (thx, Micah Jackson!) —

Savage Soul Tax Day Extravaganza

Join us this Friday as we welcome our Cambridge-dwelling comrades in arms, Wayne&Wax and DJ Flack of the long-running and forward-thinking Beat Research party at The Enormous Room.

Wayne and Flack are audiophiles and serious beat-smiths, so you know you’re always going to get schooled.

As for your hosts, you know how we do.

And, as it happens, turns out there’s a big symposium at Brown tomorrow, Reading Race Today, and so, quite felicitously, no fewer than three of my favorite current thinkers / writers / tweeters / scholars of race will be in town and are planning to come thru! Gonna have to get my Afrofuturist, Afromodern, and Discontent Disco jams in order.

Hope to see some other good Providential peoples in the house. Later, neighbors.

I'm a techno-musicologist, internet annotator, imagined community organizer.

I left my <3 in the digital global, but I reside in Cambridge, MA, where I'm from.

I represent like that.
