I&#8217;ve been into his dub-drenched beats for a minute now, linking to one project (of <a href=\"http:\/\/soundcloud.com\/sonical\/sets\/brass-wires-bass\">gritty, bassy Balkan remixes<\/a>) <a href=\"http:\/\/wayneandwax.com\/?p=3081\">way back when<\/a>, e.g. &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" src=\"http:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F1576949&#038;show_artwork=true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>After Junior Rodigan&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/soundcloud.com\/beatresearch\/junior-rodigan-beat-research\">stunningly sweet set<\/a> last week, I suspect a slightly more angular, abstract approach to diasporic funk will seem just about right. Hear, for instance, Beam Up&#8217;s live set of classic reggae riddims, built from scratch, recorded at the Fusion Festival in Germany last year &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" src=\"http:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F21947667&#038;show_artwork=true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Wearing his Sonical hat, Delay is currently in NYC exhibiting <a href=\"http:\/\/whiteboxny.org\/current.html\">at White Box<\/a>.
